Apprehension

When you live in a modern city, it's often easy to forget that you're one of the lucky ones. The vast majority of the world probably doesn't live as well as you do. Especially when you get out to the more rural areas of less economically developed countries, daily life can be quite simple.

In Bhutan, from what I've seen and from talking to the guides, the rural people live a hard life filled with manual labor, but they also live a happy life. In the poorer countries I've been to, people in the rural area often live quite poorly and what might be a small thing to you could mean a great deal to someone without much. It's always fun to see and interact with some local children, who usually are quite happy regardless of their circumstance. The beauty of children.
