Old Whaling Boat

Towards the end of my Antarctic expedition, as we made our way north along the peninsula, we eventually had an excursion to the tiny D'Hainaut Island. There's not a whole lot to see on the island, aside from a bunch of penguins.

This old whaling boat though, surrounded by whale bones does make for something a bit different. Pretty much anything built in the early 1900s or otherwise left on Antarctica from that period is now historic and preserved it seems. Not sure how well the remains of this boat will hold up.
