The Chicken Man

Do you know the Chicken Man? Yes, the Chicken Man. If you need a chicken, he's your guy. Lining the streets of Mopti, adjacent to the small water port on the Bani river, are a number of small businesses. I'm not quite sure how it works if you want to buy say, just one chicken. It would seem like pulling just one chicken off and handling the money would be no small ordeal.

The keen observer may have noticed that the Chicken Man's vest has Korean on it. I was a little surprised to see lots of second-hand Korean clothes on sale in Mopti, let alone being worn. If you're wondering, the back of the vest says Hanwha (한화), which is one of the top 10 largest Chaebol (conglomerates) in South Korea.

When I saw this guy, I immediately was reminded of the time I saw a very similar chicken scene play out in Cambodia.
