Tree In The Bush

It feels like a somewhat iconic shot to me that when you go to Africa, you have to get a photo of a lone tree while driving through the bush. And that's exactly what I did.

Before I did a self-drive Safari, I was quite hesitant about the idea. I liked the idea of having someone else drive me around so I could focus on taking the photos, and was worried about spotting the animals. There is still some level of validity to that, but having the freedom to operate at my own leisure makes the self-drive an excellent opportunity. Also, when there is big game to be seen, you can usually find it by seeing a few other vehicles stopped and looking at something, so don't let that deter you from doing a self-drive.
