On Another Planet

Are we still on Earth? This is not the Earth I know. It's like another world. Pristine landscapes all around. White, everywhere. It's that last continent, clinging on but slowly divulging its secrets one by one. Antarctica, a mysterious and amazing place. One of the last great adventures this planet still has left.

Should you brave the journey through the Drake Passage and set your sights on going further south than most people, you'll find yourself crossing the Antarctic circle. A place where you would get nearly 360 degree views with brash ice and icebergs. This is a surprisingly similar view, except it's taken in the Lemaire Channel.

The Lemaire Channel has become a pretty standard route for touristic cruise vessels to pass through when visiting Antarctica. Steep clips line the passage, providing unusually calm waters. Beautiful waters, in a landscape far far away.
